Getting started

GPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, GLM, and Kimi models

51cowork supports six leading model families; the live catalog comes from https://api.51cowork.com/v1/models.

Quick answer

Call the model list with the current Key, then copy an exact returned ID. A family name is not a model ID, and an ID from an old screenshot may be stale.

Fetch the catalog

The list reflects the models available to the Key group at that moment. It can change with operator configuration, upstream availability, or maintenance.

Choose a model

  1. 1Store the response and its refresh time.
  2. 2Start with a Dashboard recommendation or a model already verified by your team.
  3. 3Keep the exact model ID in server configuration instead of letting browser input construct internal names.

Refresh policy

  • Refresh when a service starts or a new Key is provisioned.
  • Use a short cache and expose a manual refresh.
  • When a model is missing, verify Key, credit, and group before asking for support.
